El Monte Union High School District will celebrate more than 1,850 graduates during its EMUHSD Commencement Ceremonies 2026 next month. Students from the District’s five comprehensive high schools, alternative education program, adult school, and transition center will take part in ceremonies across El Monte, Rosemead, and South El Monte.

District officials said the Class of 2026 earned admission to several top universities across the country. Graduates received acceptance letters from institutions including the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Northwestern University, Princeton University, Georgia Institute of Technology, Claremont McKenna College, and the University of California, San Diego.

Students plan to pursue degrees in public health, business administration, aerospace engineering, electrical engineering, and computer engineering. District leaders said the graduating class reflects years of academic achievement and community involvement.

Throughout the school year, seniors earned honors in academics, athletics, and the arts. Students received Edison scholarships, California State Seals of Biliteracy, state recognition awards, and league championships in multiple sports programs.

The District will also recognize South El Monte High School senior Ashley Yu during this year’s commencement season. Yu served as the outgoing student board member and represented students during Board of Trustees meetings and district events.
